Mazarron
Mazarron is a small Spanish town that many people will not have heard of. That is because until recently it was only the Spanish that enjoyed spending time here. The lack of large hotels means that this is not a resort but rather a typical Spanish town, frequented by the Spanish.
Mazarron is situated in the province of Murcia and is actually two towns in one. There is the main town with its town hall, daily indoor fresh produce market, banks, medical facilities, shops etc. Then, less than 5 minutes drive away, there is its pretty little seafront sister, Puerto de Mazarron. Here you will find a harbour and marina, various bars and restaurants, along with superb beaches and secluded coves.

There are no English style pubs, clubs, fish and chip shops or McDonalds in Mazarrón. This area remains unspoilt from commercialism and is the ideal destination for those looking for an authentic Spanish lifestyle. You will find no heavy industry in this area, and the region is famous for farming and agriculture. Take your time to explore this beautiful sea side town. If you want to experience the Spain of old then Mazarrón is for you.
Several new Marinas have been planned. In the Port of Mazarron work has already begun. There are to be 335 berths and a nautical clubhouse, with café and restaurant. In the Port of San Pedro del Pinator, 243 new moorings are to be constructed and there will be more leisure facilities in the harbour of Cartagena. Beautiful new promenades are being built in Puerto de Mazarron.
